Capacity monitoring

The administrators monitor the capacity of the pve-lab-cluster cluster and run regular checks through the Proxmox API, to keep resources available for active labs.

What remains your job

• Stay within the allocated quota (see cluster, pool and quotas).
• Keep guest OSes up to date, security patches in particular.
• Never expose a VM directly on the Internet, not even temporarily.

A lab that persistently exceeds its quota or whose guest OSes aren’t maintained may be flagged during the monthly review.
